Badtameez Dil: Barun Sobti was looking for a light-hearted show after the intense Asur 2

After doing two seasons of an intense show like Asur, with other intense web series like Kohrra and Donali in the pipeline, actor Barun Sobti felt the need to do a light-hearted show. Another thing that he noted was that most web series that have been released in the recent past have been pretty intense and dark, so a rom-com like Badtameez Dil is refreshing.

Barun said, "Badtameez Dil is a light-hearted show, and I think that it is a novelty in current times because everything else is so intense. That is what makes the show special. The writing of the show also sets it apart."

In Badtameez Dil, Barun plays Karan, who is someone who loves to compartmentalise everything in a relationship.

Speaking about his character, Barun said, "Karan believes that there should be a friend, a girlfriend, and so on; he compartmentalises everything and everyone because he thinks that's how modern love is."

The show also stars Ridhi Dogra, Minissha Lamba, and Mallika Dua.

Since he has worked with Ridhi in the past in Asur, Barun revealed that both of them share a special bond of love, friendship, and respect.

Barun said, "Ridhi and I had a ball shooting Badtameez Dil, both on and off the set. We have a very healthy friendship. Everyone has a different kind of bond, and in our case, we have an equal amount of love and respect for each other. It was creatively satisfying and fun. And not just for Ridhi and me, but for the entire cast. We all hung out till sunrise on most nights."
