Bagha Jatin director Arun Roy is critically ill

During the shooting of the film Bagha Jatin, it came to light that the film’s director Arun Roy was suffering from cancer. Recently his condition deteriorated. He was promptly admitted to a hospital a few days back. Arun Roy is under treatment there. 

Bagha Jatin was released during this year’s Durga Puja. Arun previously directed several films, including 8/12 and Hiralal. He completed the shooting of Bagha Jatin amidst his illness. He did not stop the work and even continued after chemotherapy. He took part in the promotion of the film. Arun is known to be a jolly and upbeat person. 

During Bagha Jatin's promotion, Dev said that he would help Arun Roy in every way. But Arun did not pay much attention to his sickness. He reportedly said, “It can happen to anybody. It is not a big deal.” 

Many people expressed concern at the news of such a positive person's illness. His fans pray for his speedy recovery. They want him to make many more historical films.
