The trailer of Prabhu Deva's next outing Bagheera was recently released by the makers. In the trailer, Prabhu Deva is seen in multiple avatars and is involved with many women. He is also seen cracking comic lines one after the other, thus promising his brand of comedy. Going by the glimpse, it looks like Prabhu Deva plays a psycho killer in the film. He also appears in a clean-shaven look for one of the characters and interestingly, this is the first time that he will be playing a bald man onscreen.
The film is helmed by Mark Antony director Adhik Ravichandran. Sharing the trailer on his social media handle, Vishal, who plays the lead in Mark Antony, wrote, "Presenting @PDdancing master’s #Bagheera for you @Adhikravi ‘s sambavam loading, Congrats & Best wishes from team #MarkAntony (sic)."
Prabhu Deva, too, wrote on his social handle, "My next film #Bagheera with @Adhikravi Enjoy the trailer & Get ur leave letters ready for Mass bunksee you in theatres FROM MARCH 3rd WORLDWIDE (sic)."
The film has a series of leading ladies, which includes Amyra Dastur, Gayathrie Shankar, Ramya Nambeesan, Janani Iyer, Sanchita Shetty, Sakshi Agarwal, Sonia Agarwal to name a few. The trailer also provides reference to Kamal Haasan's Sigappu Rojakkal and Silambarasan's Manmadhan, which hints at the film being a psycho killer's story, albeit delivered in a witty manner.
Music for the film is by Ganesan S, cinematography by Selvakumar SK and Abhinanadam Ramanujam, and editing is by Ruben. The film is bankrolled by Bharathan Pictures. Bagheera is all set to hit screens on March 3 in theatres worldwide. Though the film was supposed to be released much earlier, a number of reasons led to its delay. Now that the makers have announced the release date, fans of the actor can heave a sigh of relief.
