In the tenth episode of Bails and Banter, Atul Wassan was asked whether he sees Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a coach for the Indian cricket team soon. Reacting to this, the former Indian cricketer said, "I think he is fit for a mentor, but for coaching, Dhoni does not have patience. Because you know if he becomes a coach, then his lifestyle will keep looping the same way, like touring with the team and all that. Why would he want all that?"

Atul Wassan on difference between coaching and mentoring

When asked about the differences between coaching and mentorship, Atul said, "No, coaching is for people who are control fixed, like Gautam Gambhir, because he needs importance but mentoring is like 'come, have a sit, let's eat together,' and some players actually approach you. So you don't have to be the mentor but there is mentoring going on around the whole universe of cricket. People who are close to you will approach you and take advice, whether you are a mentor or not."

In the episode, Atul Wassan also discussed MS Dhoni's recent comment. Dhoni has said, "I have 4-5 months to decide, there’s no hurry. Need to keep the body fit. You have to be at your best. If cricketers start retiring for their performance, some of them will retire at 22. Will go back to Ranchi, enjoy a few back rides. I am not saying I am done, not saying I am coming back. I have the luxury of timing. Will think about it and then decide."
