During the 12th episode of Bails and Banter, Atul Wassan was asked who he thinks is the bigger brand between Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Reacting to the comparisons, the former Indian cricketer said, "You can't compare an apple and an orange, first of all. But I think if we see from the Indian cricket point of view, Dhoni's records as a captain are fantastic. He has won everything. But if we see his numbers, he will be in the middle somewhere. However, the total of his parts was greater than the subtotal, so that is Dhoni."

When Atul Wassan was asked about Sachin Tendulkar's last innings, his aura, and more, and also if that scale or aura is visible in today's cricket or not, the former cricketer said, "For that, one needs to work hard year after year, and then you get that respect. The profession he had had all these years, he made fans everywhere. Those England fans, Australian fans, they want that too because they are the sporting countries and they know how to appreciate players."

Atul also shared, "But in our country, we only take care of our players and not the others because we don't have that depth to appreciate others' qualities as a sportsman, because we are not a sporting country. We lack a sports culture. In India, we are good fans, but we are not good sports people."
