Bajrangi Bhaijaan star Harshali Malhotra, now all grown up, makes a splash at the Salaam Venky screening; see pics

Harshali Malhotra had made quite a splash with her big screen debut, sharing the screen with none other than Salman Khan, in the hit film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor Khan in pivotal roles. The young actress’ moving performance as Shahida, a mute six year old Pakistani girl who gets lost in India, and is subsequently helped out by a devout man named Pawan, portrayed by Salman. In a move that is bound to make viewers feel old as ever, Harshali recently made an appearance during a screening of Salaam Venky.

Harshali, now almost 14 years old, was spotted at the event wearing a white knit dress which she paired with brown boots. The screening of the film was also attended by director Revathy, and lead star Kajol.

Harshali had announced her second film back in 2017. Titled Nastik, the film will also feature Arjun Rampal.

Meanwhile, Salaam Venky will be released in theatres on December 9. The drama is inspired by the real life story of Venkatesh, a young man suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and his mother Sujata, who goes to any length to make sure that her son is able to live his life to the fullest. Vishal Jethwa stars as Venkatesh while Kajol essays the role of his mother Sujata. The film also features Rahul Bose, Rajeev Khandelwal, Aahana Kumra, Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, Riddhi Kumar, Aneet Padda, Jai Neeraj, Maala Parvathi and Kamal Sadanah in pivotal roles.

The upcoming film marks Revathy’s first directorial in more than a decade. The film was produced by Suuraj Sinngh, Shraddha Agrawal, and Varsha Kukreja under the production banners of BLIVE Productions and RTAKE Studios. After its theatrical run, Salaam Venky will be available for streaming on ZEE5, although an OTT release date is yet to be announced by the makers .
