Balakrishna's Akkineni-Tokkineni remark, Chay Akkineni responds with a strong statement

Balakrishna is a huge star in Telugu cinema and is flying high with the success of his last two films Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy. The star hero is known for his powerful dialogues in films and also at public events. One such speech of his at the success meeting of his latest hit Veera Simha Reddy went viral yesterday. In his speech, Balakrishna took a dig at legendary Telugu actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao by using a fun phrase calling the legend as Akkineni-Tokkineni. This did not go well with the fans of ANR who started slamming Balayya on social media for his speech.

Looks like this has not gone well with the family of ANR as Chay Akkineni, the grandson of ANR and son of Nagarjuna has posted a tweet slamming the comment of Balakrishna. Though he did not name Balakrishna in his post, Chay says "NTR, ANR, and SVR are great actors and pillars of Telugu cinema, and disrespecting them is degrading ourselves".

Fans of ANR are quite happy with the way, Chay has come forward and slammed the star in a very dignified manner. Time and again, news has been coming out that the Nandamuri and Akkineni families are not on talking terms with each other as there are some personal issues between them. This dig at ANR by Balakrishna has once again proved the fact there are surely some issues that are bothering Balakrishna and Nagarjuna.

As of now, only Chay and his brother Akhil have responded but their dad Nagarjuna is silent. Well, this tweet from Chay has given more fire to this topic and one needs to see what Balakrishna is going to do in the days to come. Just a few days back, Balakrishna apologized to the Deva Brahmana community for his remarks against them. What will he do now, let's wait and watch.
