Anirban Bhattacharya’s debut feature film Ballabhpurer Roopkotha completed 50 days in the theatre recently. The film which features Satyam Bhattacharya, Shyamal Chakraborty, Surangana Bandyopadhyay, Debraj Bhattacharya, and others in the lead has already garnered appreciation from viewers and critics alike. Undoubtedly, it is one of the superhit Bengali films this year.

To celebrate the 50th day, a special show was organised by the production house, SVF, in which Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury was present. Later, he took to his social media and shared a note of appreciation. He was accompanied by Satyam, whose portrayal of Rajababu won hearts.

Talking about the film, Chanchal said, “It is very rare to see such vision delivered on the big screen. Satyam was with me and I feel tremendous joy seeing the on-screen portrayal of each character. Anirban made it a spectacular watch and took the Bengali audience to another level. I wish him all the love and success on behalf of Bangladesh.”

Anirban attributed the success to his audience. “They are the real heroes for whom our film has completed 50 days in theatre. We are eternally grateful to them for showering us with love.”

Delighted about this milestone achievement, Satyam said, “Ballabhpurer Roopkotha got a phenomenal response at the box office from day one and since then the film has been giving multiple housefull shows every week. I’m touched by how the audience has embraced the film and my character along with Shyamalda, Debrajda, and Surangana. Each of us delivered our best and we cannot thank the audience enough for the love and support they showered upon our film. I’m humbled to see how people are still running to the theatres even in the 7th week to watch the film. This is a big win for us!”
