The makers of the upcoming bilingual film, Balti, have dropped a poster as well as teaser. Apart from this, it has also been confirmed that the sports drama will hit the big screen in Onam 2025.
This year's Onam will see the simultaneous theatrical release of Balti, Shane Nigam's 25th movie, in Malayalam and Tamil. The actor's other movie, RDX: Robert Dony Xavier, was also released on Onam in 2023 and was a big box office success.
The details of the actor's character was revealed along with the teaser, which shows Shane Nigam's character escaping from the police while costumed like a muscular kabbadi player. It is unclear why. To the delight of his fans, it generally suggests a fresh avatar for the actor. It has also showed that Shane will be appearing in a character named Udhayan in this film.
Debutante Unni Shivalingam has directed this film. The director himself has penned the screenplay for this sports action drama. Under the auspices of STK Frames and Binu George Alexander Productions, Santosh T Kuruvilla and Binu Alexander George are the producers of Balti. The movie was filmed in a number of places in Pollachi, Palakkad, and Coimbatore. In addition to Shane, another important character in Balti is Tamil actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, who rose to fame with Sakkarakatti.
