These four youngsters are put in jeopardy, and it does not end well for them as shown in the video. Four ferocious Panjami Raiders players dominate the streets of Velampalayam, a small town where kabaddi is dominant. But friends soon become vicious enemies amidst small-time criminal gang conflicts, jealousy, and love. The central theme of the film is the struggle between righteousness and retribution.

The release date of the movie was previously set for August during Onam. However, it was later reported that Balti's release has been delayed until September for unknown reasons. It is reported that the sports drama, which is being marketed as Shane Nigam's 25th film, will be released on big screen in both Tamil and Malayalam on the same date.

Unni Shivalingam is making his directorial debut with this movie. This action drama's script was written by the filmmaker himself.
