Barroz, the long-delayed directorial debut of superstar Mohanlal, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release, on December 25, 2024. The movie, touted to be a 3D fantasy children’s film, has been garnering the attention of audiences and critics with its unique trailer and songs, which are now winning the internet. Recently, Mohanlal and teamed dropped the promo of the much-awaited underwater song Bambooziya from Barroz, on social media.
Mohanlal, the actor-director recently took to his official social media handles and dropped the much-awaited Bambooziya promo from Barroz. “BAMBOOZIYA is here, and the sea comes alive! Dive into the magic of Barroz and experience the adventure in real 3D. Get ready for a spectacular splash in theaters this Christmas, December 25!” wrote the superstar, on his official social media handles. The 34-second-long song teaser hints that the upcoming film is going to be a visually-enthralling experience, for the world cinema audiences.

Mohanlal turned into a playback singer yet again for the fun song number, along with Anjana Padmanabhan and Amirthavarshini. The Bambooziya song is penned by Krishnadas Panki and composed and arranged by the talented young musician Lydian Nadhaswaram. In a recent interview with the senior journalist Baradwaj Rangan, Mohanlal revealed that he is playing an Octopus in the Bambooziya song song, which is a complete underwater song, created through animation.
As reported earlier, Barroz is reportedly slated to be released only in 3D format in the theatres. Director Mohanlal and his team particularly shot the long-awaited film on on 3D format, unlike most of the other big-budget ventures, which were shot in 2D and later converted into 3D. The actor-filmmaker also spent over one and a half years on the film’s extensive post-production works.
Barroz is gearing up to have a pan-Indian release in all major Indian languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The movie, based on the popular novel of the same name, penned by Jijo Punnoose. TK Rajeev Kumar is the creative head of the project. Santosh Sivan ISC is the director of photography. Lydian Nadhaswaram composes the songs and original score for the 3D fantasy film. Barroz is produced by Antony Permbavoor, under the prestigious banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
