The first poster of the Arshad Warsi starrer film Banda Singh is out. Based on true incidents, the film is being directed by Phullu fame Abhishek Saxena. The plot of the drama revolves around the survival of a man and his family in North India with Meher Vij playing the female lead alongside Warsi.
The first poster of the drama shows Meher and Arshad, hinting at a strong heartfelt movie. Arshad is seen in a turban holding an axe while Meher supports him, standing by his side. The film seems to showcase Arshad in a never-seen avatar before. It looks like a one-of-a-kind role played by the Munnabhai MBBS actor.
Meher Vij posted on Instagram sharing her excitement on her new journey. She wrote: "Starting my new journey

Arshad Warsi had also tweeted the poster today and wrote: "Really excited to become #BandaSingh for you all. All we need is your blessings 馃檹" (sic)
The film is produced by Manish Mishra of Seamless Productions LLP and co-produced by Abhishek Saxena under his banner Ambi Abhi Productions. Directed Abhishek told BollywoodHungama that he has been looking for such a script for a very long time ever since Phullu happened. His earlier films Phullu and Saroj Ka Rishta were on social issues but Banda Singh is about survival, he said. The screenplay is written by Shaheen Iqbal and Abhishek Saxena. It will go on floors in mid-November.
