Tollywood fans have more reasons to smile with the launch of the long delayed movie Bangarraju featuring Nagarjuna Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya with a puja ceremony in Hyderabad today. The movie helmed by Kalyan Krishna also stars Krithi Shetty and Ramya Krishna.
As per reports, the film will be a prequel to Kalyan Krishna’s 2016 blockbuster Soggade Chinni Nayana, which featured Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna and Lavanya Tripathi in leading roles.
Bangarraju marks Nagarjuna’s reunion with Naga Chaitanya after the 2014 film Manam. If the reports are true, Krithi will be playing Naga Chaitanya’s pair, and the details regarding the cast and crew will be out soon. The movie, backed by Annapurna studios, will go on floors in June. The music is composed by Anup Rubens.
Nagarjuna has been in the news for many of his shows and movies lately. He has also resumed shooting for his untitled project with Praveen Sattaru, and will be also hosting Bigg Boss Telugu 5. The teaser of the reality show was released last week, in which he promised to save audiences from boredom. The show will go on air from September 5.
Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya grabbed everyone’s eyeballs with his army officer look for his Bollywood debut in Laal Singh Chaddha, alongside Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The movie is an official remake of the 1994 classic Forrest Gump. Love Story, which also stars him opposite Sai Pallavi, will release on September 10. He also has Vikram Kumar's Thank You with Raashi Khanna and Avika Gor in his kitty.
