One of the many good things that SS Rajamouli's Baahubali did was to remind the Telugu industry of the powerhouse of talent that Ramya Krishna is. Filmmakers, ever since Baahubali, have gone the extra mile to craft her character with care, taking her image and capabilities into consideration. Soggade Chinni Nayana was one such film that tapped the actress' potential to the fullest as Satyabhama, from her sensuality to comic timing to terrific screen presence. She returns to play the same role in the film's sequel, titled Bangarraju, where she teams up with Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and Kriti Shetty.

Commemorating Ramya Krishna's birthday, a poster featuring her and Nagarjuna was released on Wednesday. Featuring her in a magenta-coloured sari, she's in a playful mood with her on-screen romantic interest, Nagarjuna, who's as handsome as ever in a white kurta and dhoti. The scene is set amidst a village with plenty of coconut trees and a lake in the background. Needless to say, Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna's on-screen chemistry leaves us wanting for more. They've done a handful of iconic films together in the past, including Annamayya, Hello Brother, Criminal, Sankeerthana and Chandralekha.

Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna and several actors from the film are currently shooting for a schedule in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, who directed Soggade Chinni Nayana, is helming Bangarraju as well (and has also written the story), while veteran writer Satyanand is handling the film's screenplay. Nagarjuna is also producing the film in collaboration with Zee Studios. The makers promise an out-and-out family entertainer. Yuvaraj is on board as the cinematographer, while Anoop Rubens is composing the film's music.
