Barbie: The Album, the highly anticipated soundtrack accompanying Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling’s film, is set to feature an incredible lineup of musical talent.

Rolling Stone reported that the album will include artists such as Ava Max, Charli XCX, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, Fifty Fifty, Gayle, Haim, Ice Spice, Kali, Karol G, Khalid, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, PinkPantheress, Tame Impala, and the Kid Laroi. Coinciding with the worldwide release of the movie on July 21, the compilation project promises to be a musical extravaganza.

The star-studded cast of artists involved in the album is exciting, with the added bonus of Ryan Gosling's participation. Although primarily known for his acting prowess, Ryan has showcased his vocal talents in the past, notably in the Oscar-winning film La La Land, where he sang, danced, and played the piano.

What’s more, this already impressive list of artists is not yet complete. As the album's release date draws nearer, more musicians will be announced, further elevating the musical experience. The project will be produced by Mark Ronson, who previously collaborated with Dua Lipa on the platinum-certified hit "Electricity" as one half of the electronic duo Silk City.

Dua Lipa, who also stars in the film as Mermaid Barbie, recently revealed that her single from the soundtrack, titled "Dance the Night," will be released on Thursday. The Grammy-winning artist has been fully embracing the Barbie aesthetic, and this week she turned heads at Cannes, where she unveiled her latest collaboration with the esteemed fashion house Versace.

The latest Barbie trailer provides a sneak peek into the film's storyline, delving beyond the glossy exterior and picture-perfect parties to reveal some gritty, existential aspects.

In one scene, Barbie can be seen dancing at her own extravagant party, a grand celebration of her own creation. As Dua Lipa's smooth vocals fill the air, Barbie spins and twirls, singing the lyrics, "You can find me under the lights, diamonds under my eyes."

While the scene initially exudes joy and enthusiasm, Barbie unexpectedly interrupts the festivities with a thought-provoking question, asking, "Do you guys ever think about dying?" The abrupt shift in tone is accentuated by a record scratch and the subsequent sound of crickets, leaving everyone in stunned silence.

Audiences around the world are eagerly awaiting the release of Barbie: The Album and the accompanying film. Both promise to captivate viewers with a unique blend of music, storytelling, and the timeless magic of Barbie.
