The upcoming show, directed by Akshay Vir Singh, will focus on the story of a couple’s ordeals when one of them gets accused of being behind the deadly attack.
Barkha Sengupta is all set to add another web series to her kitty with an upcoming series. The actress will reportedly be a part of a new web series for the ULLU App. With the tentative title Naam Ghum Jayega, the series is said to be inspired by the tragic 2010 Pune bombing incident.
According to reports in Daijiworld, Barkha Sengupta had immediately nodded in agreement to be a part of the upcoming show as she had felt the script was engaging and gripping. The elated actress had also talked in length about what kind of character she was going to portray.
She would be donning the role of a young married woman called Ayesha, a doting mother and wife. She further reveals that although her character seems like a simple woman on the surface, her real personality emerges when she is faced with adversity. Sengupta also said that she was going to try to listen to her director’s ambition regarding the character and try to match that vision as far as possible.
Set in the background of the 2010 Pune bombing, Naam Ghum Jayega will tell the story of a couple, one of whom comes under suspicion for organising the deadly attack. The upcoming series will be helmed by Akshay Vir Singh.
Naam Ghum Jayega will be Barkha Sengupta’s third Hindi language web series after Ratri Ke Yatri and Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala. The actress, who is well-known for her work on television dramas, had also been a part of two Bengali web shows titled Kamini and Love and Affairs.
