Barun Sobti and Ridhi Dogra team up for ALTBalaji's A Cold Mess, filming begins in Serbia

Barun Sobti and Ridhi Dogra are all set to team up for the second time in ALTBalaji's forthcoming web series. The show is titled A Cold Mess and is a love story spanning over eight years. The series is being shot extensively in Belgrade, Serbia. In A Cold Mess, Barun plays the role of Karan while Ridhi will be seen as Liz. The actors earlier worked together in Asur: Welcome to your Dark Side streaming on Voot. 

Meanwhile, Ekta Kapoor took to her Instagram page and shared a Boomerang video of the actors. She wrote, "Being shot in beautiful locales of Belgrade, Serbia; starring Ridhi Dogra and Barun Sobti; #AColdMess is a story spanning eight years of Karan and Liz who realize love is nothing but #AColdMess! Another love story franchise from the makers of Broken But Beautiful… is an ode to happier messier love! Filming begins; show streaming soon on @ALTBalaji!"

A Cold Mess also features Minissha Lamba and Mallika Dua in pivotal roles. 

Earlier, Zulfiqar Khan, COO of Balaji Telefilms Group and CEO of ALTBalaji had spoken about 30 upcoming titles on ALTBalaji which resonate with the youth. A Cold Mess is a part of that slate. 

He had told Variety, "I think we’re speaking the youth language and hence, our base is far more concentrated, it’s young."

Meanwhile, Barun is not new to the world of OTT. He had made his debut back in 2017 with Tanhaiyan streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The actor has also played the lead in ALTBalaji's The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family alongside Kay Kay Menon. Barun grabbed eyeballs with his leading role alongside Arshad Warsi in Asur streaming on Voot. 

Ridhi was last seen in The Married Woman wherein she is paired opposite Monica Dogra. The series streamed simultaneously on ZEE5 and ALTBalaji.
