On social media, they posted about holding auditions for this project, which his fans are looking forward to as they expect it to be a hilarious treat in theatres.

This untitled film is expected to hit the big screen by the end of this year or in the first half of 2026. The movie is officially scheduled to begin production in October. A brief social media video that they used to introduce the project gave away that it would be a humorous story. Their production company's introduction video has already received positive feedback on social media. Many of his industry acquaintances, like Tovino Thomas, wished Basil Joseph luck on social media after it was recently revealed that he had ventured into production. In the upcoming days, more updates, including a tentative release date and the rest of the cast members, are anticipated.

Basil Joseph's upcoming films in 2025

In an interview recently with The Hollywood Times, Basil stated that he had an overwhelming desire to make a film again and that he was about to direct two movies. "I had absolutely no influence over the factors that were behind the discontinuation of these projects," he said. The actor expressed his regret and remorse for the projects' cancellation. The A.R.M actor went on to say that he has drastically reduced his acting schedule and hasn't committed to a new film since October of last year. 

Basil is reportedly making his Tamil debut in Parasakthi, Sudha Kongara's forthcoming highly anticipated movie. Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan and Sreeleela play important roles in the political thriller as well. Maranamass, his most recent Malayalam film, is available for multilingual viewing on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium. Additionally, the actor starred in the films Ponman and Pravinkoodu Shappu. They are both available through OTTplay Premium on JioHotstar and Sony LIV, respectively.
