Bastar box office collection day 3 - Filmmaker Sudipto Sen and actress Adah Sharma recently reunited for Bastar: The Naxal Story after the success of The Kerala Story. However, Bastar has failed to recreate the magic of their previous film. The box office collection of Bastar is nowhere close to what The Kerala Story minted. In three days of its theatrical run, Bastar has earned only Rs 2.05 crore at the ticket window.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Adah Sharma's Bastar collected Rs 90 lakh at the box office. Considering the same, the total box office collection of the movie is Rs 2.05 crore. The lukewarm response to Sudipto Sen's film could be one of the reasons Bastar has a poor box office report.
For the uninitiated, the movie clashed with Sidharth Malhotra's film Yodha. Directed by Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre, Yodha is way ahead of Bastar in the box office race. The film has managed to earn around Rs 17 crore after three days of its theatrical run.

Like The Kerala Story, Sudipto and Adah's new film, Bastar, will stream on ZEE5. The film will drop on the streaming platform once its theatrical run ends. The movie is based on the Naxalite–Maoist insurgency in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh.
Apart from Adah Sharma, the star cast of Bastar includes Indira Tiwari, Vijay Krishna, Shilpa Shukla, Yashpal Sharma, Subrat Dutta, and Raima Sen. Bastar has been produced by Vipul Amrutalal Shah.

A few days before Bastar: The Naxal Story was released on the big screen, Adah Sharma was seen in Sunflower Season 2. The actress shared screen space with comedian and actor Sunil Grover in the web series, which premiered on the aforementioned platform. She essayed the role of Rosie Mehta in the web show while Sunil was seen as Sonu Singh. Sunflower S2 was written by Vikas Bahl and also co-directed by him with Rahul Sengupta.
