Salman Khan is all set to be seen in the upcoming war drama, Battle of Galwan. The actor, who is the host of the ongoing Bigg Boss 19, has already reached Ladakh and begun shooting for the Apoorva Lakhia-directed film. On September 9, the superstar shared his first look from the sets as he kick-started the shooting.

Taking to his social media accounts, Salman Khan delighted his fans with a new look from the sets of Battle of Galwan as he began shooting for the film in Ladakh. The actor can be seen flaunting a police uniform while a crew member is holding the film's clapperboard, where it is mentioned that it is the 86th scene. The picture shows Salman in full military attire, a rugged mustache, and a fierce gaze, symbolizing raw patriotism.

Battle of Galwan is an upcoming war drama by director Apoorva Lakhia, starring Salman Khan as Colonel B Santosh Babu. It is based on the real-life 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley. The movie will depict the hand-to-hand combat fought with makeshift weapons, following the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers, and focusing on themes of bravery and sacrifice.
India Today reported that the cast and crew are all set to shoot the climax sequences in Leh and Ladakh over the next 2-3 weeks. "Galwan’s climax is among the most important parts of the film, both visually and emotionally. Given Leh and Ladakh’s unpredictable weather, the makers want to ensure the quality of these sequences is not compromised. That is why they are planning to complete as much as possible during this schedule itself,” a source informed the portal.
Speaking about the release date of Battle of Galwan, earlier Mid-Day reported that the team is aiming for a May 2026 release, which coincides with Bakri Eid. However, the team doesn’t want to rush the shoot or post-production just to meet that deadline.
