Months of preparation and planning have culminated in the beginning of the shoot opening of Battle of Galwan, Salman Khan's highly awaited film. The film is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's 2022 book, India's Most Fearless 3, specifically the chapter about Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu. As per Mid Day, the superstar's shoot at Mumbai's Mehboob Studio is scheduled to start in the first week of August.
According to an insider, production is well underway at the studio with set construction already started; completion is anticipated by the end of July. Before heading to Ladakh for the high-octane action, the crew has to film some early character-building scenes at Mehboob Studio; thus, the timetable is vital. In order to replicate the textures within the studio, the art and production design teams have been working nonstop. An insider told the tabloid that the set is really detailed and will give the plot more credibility. Khan, who is famously dedicated to his parts, will be there with the rest of the crew and actors from the very beginning of filming.
Reports have it that the first plan is anticipated to cover a period of 10 to 12 days. The squad will head to Ladakh for a considerably more difficult shoot after the Mumbai leg. Combat training, night shoots, and realistic conflict scenes are all part of the demanding Ladakh schedule. A source close to the production says that Khan began preparing for the part in May. The plot dramatises one of the most momentous events in modern Indian military history, and the location, with its notoriously difficult climate and rough terrain, will be important in making it feel authentic.
Just days before the first look was revealed, Khan supposedly finished his look testing and promotional shot for the film. The producers have not yet revealed the entire cast, but the scope and subject matter of the movie indicate that it will be marketed as a major release.
With Salman Khan taking on a character modelled by the late Colonel Santosh Babu, who was posthumously bestowed the Maha Vir Chakra, Battle of Galwan is likely to centre on the valour, direction, and selflessness displayed by the Indian soldiers in the Galwan Valley confrontation.
