Bawaal first look: Varun Dhawan rides a bike in style on the streets of Lucknow

The first look stills of Varun Dhawan in the upcoming Nitesh Tiwari directorial Bawaal were shared today. 

In the pictures, the actor wears a blue collared shirt and sunglasses and rides the hefty Royal Enfield motorcycle on the streets of Lucknow. In two photographs, curious onlookers were also captured along with the actor on set.

According to news agency PTI, the first shoot schedule of Bawaal kickstarted on April 10 in Lucknow where the ‘mahurat’ was held. 

A press release has described the coming together of Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in this Sajid Nadiadwala-produced movie as "a casting coup" that features these "Gen-Z" actors. The note promises an "electric chemistry" between the two actors as well as "picturesque visuals and great storytelling."

This is not only the first time the two actors are working together but also their first collaboration with Tiwari, who has made movies like Dangal and Chhichhore. For Tiwari, this is the second time he's working with Nadiadwala after the friendship drama Chhichhore that starred the late Sushant Singh Rajput. 

The press release adds that besides Lucknow, Bawaal, a love story, will be shot across two other Indian locations and in five European countries including France. 

Besides Bawaal, Dhawan will also be seen with Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Amar Kaushik’s directorial Bhediya.

Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the movie will be released in cinemas on April 7, 2023.
