BBK9: I am only 22 years old; marriage is a long way off, says Saanya Iyer

Puttagowri Maduve fame Saanya Iyer’s stint on the first-ever edition of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT and subsequently as a contestant on Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 is best remembered for her bond with fellow contestant Roopesh Shetty. In the house, the duo were inseparable, which gave rise to speculation that despite their protestations, they may just be more than good friends. Roopesh’s continued insistence that he misses her in the house has added fuel to this.

Saanya, who was eliminated more than a week ago, had been staying away from the public eye since her return home to avoid discussions about her ‘relationship’ with Roopesh. The actress, who is currently on a pilgrimage to the Kamakhya Temple in Assam with her mother Deepa, went live on Instagram a little while ago, where she was besieged by questions about her and Roopesh, if they were planning to get married and so on and so forth.

In response, Saanya clarified that at only 22 years of age, marriage is a long way off for her. Her priority right now, she added, is to get into cinema, which has been a dream since childhood. However, she said that while she was missing the house and the fellow contestants, the only one she would be voting for is Roopesh. She also sang a song for Roopesh, following requests from those who tuned in to the live. Interestingly, though, although she considered adding someone to the live conversation, considering the sheer number of questions about her ‘relationship status’ she decided against it eventually.

RJ-and-actor Roopesh, meanwhile, is still one of the frontrunners to win the show. Roopesh, who was the winner of the OTT season has been at his A-game in the Bigg Boss house, with netizens saying that he’s become even more entertaining since Saanya left.
