Beast Day 3 box office collection: Vijay’s action film earnings gets affected due to Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2

With back-to-back box office hits, Vijay has established himself as Tamil cinema's most formidable performer, and his latest film, Beast, only add to the list of his hit movies. The film was released on April 13, just in time for Tamil New Year and according to the most recent box office report for Beast, Vijay's action flick has become the second fastest Tamil film to achieve 100 crores. But on day 3, the film falls flat.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Beast had a fantastic beginning on a working day release, and it was immediately the top-earning film in Tamil Nadu on day one, grossing Rs 38 to 40 crores. Also, the film reportedly raked over Rs 80 crores on day 1 worldwide. It didn't take long for such a film to cross the 100 crore mark. After Rajinikanth's 2.O, Vijay's action flick has reportedly grossed over Rs 130 crores on day two, making it the second-fastest Tamil film to reach the mark.

Meanwhile, die-hard fans of the star have started their social media festivities by using the hashtag #AllTimeBlockbusterBeast for the film, which is trending on Twitter.

But the film fell flat on day 3. Two things went wrong: one, the terrible reviews, and the other, launching the film at the very same time as K.G.F: Chapter 2, knowing that it would arrive the next day. On Friday, Nelson's directorial grossed over Rs 14 crore in India, with a worldwide total of Rs 24.05 crore. Take a look at the day-by-day collection below.

According to estimates, Beast had a poor third day in Hindi with just Rs 15 lakhs earnings, despite grossing Rs 1.41 crore in Chennai alone.

Despite poor collection on day 3, it is predicted that the film will gross more than Rs 200 crores in a record time due to its wide release and massive fan following.

Vijay plays a RAW agent in the film Beast, which also stars Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, VTV Ganesh, Yogi Babu, Aparna Das, and Shine Tom Chacko. The film's music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and his work is among the greatest in the film as it has been breaking records all over the internet.

The film is currently running in theatres and will premiere on Netflix and Sun Nxt on May 13.
