Bedhadak: Shanaya Kapoor to play Nimrit in debut vehicle from Dharma Productions, Shashank Khaitan

After Lakshya's first look, Shanaya Kapoor was introduced as her character Nimrit in her Dharma Productions debut Bedhadak. The film is helmed by Shashank Khaitan, who previously directed her cousin Janhvi in Dhadak. 

Shanaya was announced as part of Dharma Cornerstone Agency's roster last year along with Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada, who also stars in the film.

In the first look still, Shanaya, with her hair professionally mussed up, looks straight into the camera.

Khaitan is also the writer and producer of Bedhadak. Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Apoorva Mehta are also producers. Though not much is known about the film's plot, IANS had reported that it is a rom-com love triangle. 

She is the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor and was previously seen in the Netflix reality show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. She has also worked as an assistant director on Janhvi's film Gunjan Saxena. 

Shanaya already has a big following on social media and has featured in brand endorsements. 

Dharma Productions has previously launched actors like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra (Student of the Year), Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria (Student of the Year 2), and Janhvi Kapoor (Dhadak).
