DD Next Level is set to stream on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium from June 13 onwards

Tamil film DD Next Level starring Santhanam released in theatres on May 16. The film, which is headlined by comedian-turned-actor Santhanam, marked the fourth instalment in the Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise. With the first three parts being successful and streaming on OTTplay Premium, DD Next Level is also set to make its OTT debut very soon. As the horror comedy will premiere on ZEE5 from June 13, here is how much the film made during its theatrical run.
The new OTT release for this week will be the horror comedy film DD Next Level. After its theatrical run for a month, the Santhanam film will head to ZEE5 and will be available on OTTplay Premium from June 13 onwards.
Before the film takes charge on the streaming platform, let’s know how much it made in theatres. As per Sacnilk report, DD Next Level has collected Rs 21 crore at the box office worldwide, with the numbers standing at Rs 18 crore in India. The film had a middling reception upon its release. In addition, it also competed with Soori-starrer Maaman which opened in theatres on the same day.

DD Next Level, which serves as a standalone film in the Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise, is about a film critic who posts his reviews on YouTube. After he gets called for a special screening, he realizes that a sinister spirit has made a plan to trap him and his family into a film. Now, all he has got time is until the film finishes to save his family members who play the characters in the screenplay. Besides Santhanam, the film also features other known faces such as Geethika, Selvaraghavan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Nizhalgal Ravi, Kasthuri, Redin Kingsley, Yashika Anand, Rajendran, and Maran.
Helmed by filmmaker S Prem Anand, actor Arya who has worked with Santhanam has presented DD Next Level under his banner The Show People. Niharika Entertainment has produced the film. The technical crew includes cinematography by Dipak Kumar Padhy and ofRO scoring the music. Barath Vikraman is the editor.
