After a successful theatrical run, Malayalam superstar Mammootty’s latest film Kannur Squad is all set to make its digital premiere on Disney+ Hotstar, on November 17. The movie marks the directorial debut of leading cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj. Besides Mammootty, Kannur Squad also stars Rony David Raj, Shabareesh Varma, Azees Nedumangad, Vijayaraghavan and Kishore.

Ahead of Kannur Squad’s OTT release, stream these four films, with Mammootty in the lead, on Disney+ Hotstar.

1. Bheeshma Parvam (2022)

Helmed by Amal Neerad, Bheeshma Parvam is an action thriller that narrates the story of Michael (played by Mammootty), who is leading his ancestral family in Kochi, commanding both fear and respect due to his past. However, as some younger members of the household become increasingly frustrated with the control he exerts over their lives, they decide to suppress his rule.

Mammootty’s stellar performance, along with technical aspects such as the musical score, makes the film a must-watch. The film’s ensemble cast also features Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Shine Tom Chacko, Farhaan Faasil and Nadhiya Moidu.

2. Rorschach (2022)

Nissam Basheer-directed Rorschach is a psychological thriller, starring Mammootty, Sharaf-U-Dheen and Asif Ali. Although Dileep is now dead, Luke feels his presence and is determined to remove that. And for that purpose alone, Luke haunts his deranged family and everyone near and dear to him. Dileep also haunts him from beyond his grave. The film was praised for its writing, and for Mammootty’s character. Narayanan (Mammootty), who had the responsibility of his family on his shoulders, travels to Dubai in a pathemari (flat float) a few decades ago. Although he endures a lot of miseries, he braves them for the sake of his family. The film won the National Award in 2015, under the ‘Best Feature Film’ category. It also stars Jewel Mary, Siddique, Sreenivasan, Salim Kumar and Shaheen Siddique.

4. Best Actor (2010)

This comedy drama, directed by Martin Prakkat, has Mammootty playing the role of a school teacher, named Mohan, who is very passionate about acting in films. He makes several attempts to realise his dream and later joins a gang of goons to understand the work they do. Best Actor narrates the story of people who struggle to get into the world of cinema. The film also features Sruthi Ramakrishnan, Nedumudi Venu, Lal, Salim Kumar, Vinayakan, Master Vivas, Sreenivasan, KPAC Lalitha, Master Sreedharan Nampoothiri and Sukumari in key roles.
