Director and versatile actor SJ Suryah is celebrating his birthday today (July 20). While the actor’s kitty is filled with many projects, he will be next seen in Dhanush-starrer Raayan which is scheduled to hit theatres on July 26. What is also special about the film is that he will be reuniting with director Selvaraghavan with whom he has worked in the 2021 horror film Nenjam Marappathillai. The film is available for streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium.
SJ Suryah, who was last seen in Indian 2, is currently expecting the release of Raayan. The film, which is written and directed by Dhanush, boasts a star ensemble including SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, Selvaraghavan, and many others.
The film is also special in a way that SJ Suryah will be reuniting with Selvaraghavan with whom he has worked in the 2021 horror film Nenjam Marappathillai. However, while that was directed by Selvaraghavan and Suryah played the lead role, in Raayan, both Selvaraghavan and Suryah will be playing prominent roles as co-stars. Nenjam Marappathillai is available for streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium.
Nenjam Marappathillai also stars Regina Cassandra, Nandita Swetha and others. The film revolves around a couple who recruit a baby-sitter. However, the husband begins to lust after the baby-sitter, which takes a horror turn after a grave mistake happens. The film opened to mixed to positive responses upon its release.
Raayan features a cast comprising of actors Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj and others. The film has been censored A, and will mark Dhanush’s second directorial after Pa Paandi.
