The Kaavaalaa song has played a significant part in making Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer a box-office success. Tamannaah's electrifying dance performance to the flok beats of composer Anirudh was one of the reasons why audiences thronged cinema halls across the world. And on the event of Jailer's OTT debut, Sun Pictures, the producers of the movie, unveiled the full video song of Kaavaalaa.

The magic of Kaavaalaa song

Kaavaalaa was also the first single track that was released by Sun Pictures . Many were surprised by the filmmakers' choice to release Kaavaalaa as the movie's first single track. Traditionally, the first song from the movie has always been a hero-centric number. It was a go-to strategy to appeal to the core fanbase of the stars. However, Kaavaalaa was a party anthem, entirely relying on Tamannaah's oomph factor, and it had very little to do with Rajinikanth.

Even in the movie, Rajinikanth barely appears for the entire duration of the song. However, all the critics were proved wrong when Kaavaalaa became an instant hit. It inspired countless Instagram reels and dance videos across social media platforms, creating a lot of anticipation for Jailer.

Tamannaah also threw her weight behind the movie by launching the Hindi version of Kaavaalaa. This song alone created a lot of awareness about Jailer in various parts of the country.

Rajinikanth's remarkable comeback

Jailer took a remarkable opening at the box office when it was released in cinemas last month. It gave a much-needed break to Rajinikanth as his last two movies, (Darbar and Annaatthe), didn't meet the expectations both critically and commercially.

Jailer, however, threw a big surprise as it managed to appeal to the movie-goers across the world, cutting across the gender, age, culture and language barriers. Not just in Tamil, the Telugu version of Jailer was also a huge hit.

Jailer's digital debut

After collecting nearly Rs 600 crore at the box office, Jailer will become available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting September 7. Written and directed by Nelson, the movie also has special cameo appearances by Shivarajkumar and Mohanlal.
