I Love Lucy has certainly been etched into pop culture in such a way that even people from the contemporary generation are familiar with the quirks and charisma of its stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. The pair will come alive on screens yet again, in the upcoming drama Being the Ricardos, which will release this month.

When and where can Being the Ricardos be watched?

Being the Ricardos will have a limited release on December 10, 2021. The film will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from December 21 onwards.

What is Being the Ricardos about?

Being the Ricardos revolves around the story of Lucille and Desi, focusing on the intricacies of their overlapping professional and personal relationship. The two were in a relationship at one point. They had helmed and starred in the popular sitcom I Love Lucy.

Being the Ricardos will also tell the story of a tumultuous time the couple went through while working on the show, possibly in reference to an incident where Lucille had been investigated by the FBI on the suspicion of being involved with the Communist Party in the 1930s.

Who are the cast and crew behind Being the Ricardos?

Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem star as Lucille and Desi respectively. The film also features Jake Lacy, JK Simmons, Nina Arianda, Clark Gregg, Tony Hale and Alia Shawkat.

The film is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, popular for his work on films such as The Social Network and The Trial of the Chicago 7.
