Apart from them, the thriller also stars Barun Chanda and Alokananda Roy in key roles. Arijit Biswas, known for Andhadhun, has written the script while Bickram Ghosh has composed the music. Khela Jokhon is touted as a tribute to Quentin Tarantino. The film revolves around a woman who wakes up from a nightmare and is in conflict with what is real and what is an illusion. It has been reported that the Bapi Bari Jaa actor waited for more than two years to land the role. In her interview to The Telegraph recently, Mimi said that it is a ‘dream character’ and came to her at the right juncture of her career. The actor who is teaming up with Arindam Sil after the 2017 drama Dhananjoy, co-starring Anirban Bhattacharya, feels that the director makes a very ‘comfortable atmosphere for the artistes to perform,’ and grants the leeway to the actors to explore the nuances of the character.

The Love Aaj Kal Porshu actor Arjun Chakrabarty is collaborating with the actor-filmmaker Arindam Sil for the third time after the 2018 detective thriller Byomkesh Gowtro and the 2019 Zee5 original film Satyamava Jayate. Arjun is teaming up with Mimi for the second time after co-starring alongside her in the 2018 Birsa Dasgupta directorial Crisscross.

More details are awaited for Khela Jokhon.
