Best of 2022: Manav Vij’s Tanaav, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan the most watched movies, shows on OTTplay Premium

OTTplay Premium had its grand launch in 2022 and with that, the app also witnessed some of the most popular shows and movies streamed. Among them were Manav Vij’s Tanaav and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan. The Jhakaas pack, which includes SonyLIV, Zee5, PlayFlix, Lionsgate Play, Shorts TV and ShemarooMe, was the most subscribed pack on OTTplay Premium.

The second most loved web series after Tanaav is Mukhbir – The Story of a Spy. Huma Qureshi’s Maharani was the third most streamed show. The second season of the show is out now.

Girls Hostel 3.0, which was also among the most popular shows, was the fourth most streamed web series on OTTplay Premium. Zee5’s Tripling season 3 also comes fifth on the list.

Sony LIV’s College Romance was the sixth most streamed show. The third season of Gagan Arora-Apoorva Arora’s series is out and it has created a storm in the year.

Avrodh was the 10th most streamed show of the year. The second season of the show is out now and it received a fair response.

Vineet Kumar Singh’s Rangbaaz: Darr Ki Rajneeti was the eighth most streamed show on OTTplay Premium, while Lionsgate Play’s Feels Like Home Season 2 is the ninth most loved show of the week.

Pratik Gandhi’s Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story continues to rule even on OTTplay Premium. The 2020 show has beaten all the recent ones to become the seventh most loved.

Even though Akshay’s Raksha Bandhan wasn’t a hit at the Box Office, the movie is the most streamed on OTTplay Premium. Madhur Bhandarkar’s latest offering India Lockdown is the second most loved film of the year on the app.

Taapsee Pannu’s latest offering Blurr too has managed to be in the top five. The film is the third most loved this year.

Not very surprisingly, Chup: Revenge of the Artist is the fourth most loved movie of the year. The Dulquer Salmaan-Sunny Deol starrer was a hit even at the Box Office.

The Arabic film The Ambush, which released on Lionsgate Play this year, is the fifth most streamed film this year. Paradise Highway, on the other hand, is the ninth most loved of 2022.

Karthikeya 2, which was loved in theatres, is also in top 10 on OTT. The movie is the sixth most loved movie of the year on OTTplay Premium.

If a Telugu film made such noise, how can a Tamil movie stay behind? Thus, Dhanush-Nithya Menen’s Thiruchitrambalam is the seventh most loved film of the year.

Tadka on Zee5 was the eighth streamed movie in this year. Apoorva Arora’s Khatta Meetha, which started streaming on Zee5 in 2021, is still loved on OTTplay Premium.

Chota Pataka is the second most loved pack on OTTplay Premium. The pack has Zee5, PlayFlix, DocuBay, ShortsTV, ShemarooMe and Fuse+.

Totally Sorted pack is the third most subscribed pack on OTTplay Premium. The pack has Hallmark Movies Now, Lionsgate Play, Curiosity Stream, ShortsTV, Dust Sci-Fi, Fuse+, DocuBay and Tastemade+.

Power Play is the fourth most subscribed pack on the app. Sony LIV, Zee5, SunNxt, PlayFlix, Hallmark Movies Now, Lionsgate Play, Curiosity Stream, ShortsTV, Dust Sci-Fi, ShemarooMe, Fuse+, DocuBay and Tastemade+ are the apps in the pack.

Simply South is the fifth most loved pack on OTTplay Premium. The pack has Zee5, SunNxt, Lionsgate Play and ShortsTV in the app.
