Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum: 


This Fahadh Faasil's romantic comedy is an absolute charmer. Written and directed by debutant Akhil Sathyan, the movie reflects on the cultural and social challenges besides financial constraints that keep a young girl from going to school. Besides Fahadh, the film also stars Anjana Jayaprakash, Dhwani Rajesh and Viji Venkatesh.

Bheed is a thought-provoking film that shines a light on the struggles faced by the marginalised during the pandemic-induced crisis. The movie is written, directed and produced by Anubhav Sinha. And it stars Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, Ashutosh Rana, Pankaj Kapur and Kritika Kamra.

Bheed is streaming on Netflix. 


Bhediya is a well-crafted supernatural thriller with a generous dose of humour. Director Amar Kaushik has helmed this horror-comedy from a script written by Niren Bhatt. The film delves into the importance of preserving our forest lands mostly in a hilarious tone. It stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee, Deepak Dobriyal and Paalin Kabak.

Vikram Vedha: 

Hrithik Roshan is brilliant in this Hindi remake of the Tamil hit of the same name. The film follows a wise-cracking gangster, who avenges the death of his brother in the most reasonable and compassionate way. Written and directed by Pushkar–Gayathri, the film also has Saif Ali Khan in the lead.

Alice, Darling:

A gripping psychological thriller, Alice, Darling starring Anna Kendrick, examines the emotional impacts of being trapped in a toxic relationship. Directed by Mary Nighy, the film also stars Kaniehtiio Horn, Charlie Carrick, and Wunmi Mosaku.

Alice, Darling is streaming Lionsgate Play. 

Modern Love Chennai:

This will go down as one of the best anthologies in Tamil cinema, Modern Love: Chennai weaves together a collection of captivating stories that come together harmoniously to create a truly pleasant viewing experience. The anthology series brings together some of the brightest minds of Tamil cinema, including Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Bharathiraja and Raju Murugan among others. 

Modern Love Chennai is streaming on Prime Video. 


Written by hit filmmaker Sukumar of Pushpa fame, this is a memorable horror thriller. The movie revolves around the witchcraft that threatens to wipe out an entire village. Helmed by Karthik Varma Dandu, the film stars Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha in the lead roles.

Triangle of Sadness:

Filmmaker Ruben Östlund's Triangle of Sadness promises to be a must-watch for fans of satirical comedies and social commentaries. This movie is a sharp and entertaining commentary on the excesses and vulnerabilities of the wealthy. The movie boasts an ensemble cast including Thobias Thorwid, Harris Dickinson, and Charlbi Dean.

Filmmakers Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar join forces to make one of the most engrossing serial killer dramas. Dahaad follows the mysterious disappearance of young women hailing from weaker sections. A smooth-talking serial killer exploits the prejudices and vulnerabilities of our society to entrap women and kill them. The series stars Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah, Sohum Shah and Vijay Varma.

Saas Bahu and Flamingo:

Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo takes a desi twist on the popular drug cartel genre, placing women at the helm of the gripping narrative. Directed by Homi Adajania, the series stars Dimple Kapadia, Radhika Madan, Isha Talwar, Angira Dhar, Deepak Dobriyal, Monica Dogra and Naseeruddin Shah.
