Tamil: Nesippaya

A romantic thriller, Nesippaya revolves around the young couple Arjun and Diya who fall for each other during their college years. But the couple quarrel over an issue, with Diya moving to a foreign country but only to end up as an accused in a crime. Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar play the lead roles in this film, directed by Vishnuvardhan.

Telugu: Anaganaga

This Telugu family drama takes a close look at the current education system. Sumanth stars in the lead role of school teacher Vyas, who has an unconventional approach to teaching, which is at odds with the system followed at the school. Compelling performances and a relevant subject make Anaganaga a must-watch film, which is already winning much appreciation.

Bengali: Bohurupi

After he is arrested and jailed for a crime he did not commit, Bikram decides to get back by committing real robberies. Shiboprosad Mukherjee plays the lead character in this film, which is based on real events that happened during the 1990s and early 2000s. Abir Chatterjee and Koushani Mukherjee are also part of this film, which garnered praise from critics and audiences.

Kannada: Kalapatthar

After Shankara foils militants' infiltration attempts, he gains much fame, and this even leads to a statue being erected in his honour in his hometown. The film is directed by Vikky Varu who has also played the lead role. Dhanya Ramkumar, Rajesh Nataranga, Sampath, and TS Nagabharana are also part of this film, which deserves to be on the list.

Hindi: Costao

Another biographical drama, Costao follows the eponymous customs officer as he sets out to bust a gold smuggling syndicate in Goa. Set in the 1990s, the film follows Costao’s attempts to expose the wrongdoers even as he suffers several setbacks, personally and professionally. Sejal Shah has directed this film.

Punjabi: Jatt & Juliet 3

After Jatt & Juliet and Jatt & Juliet 2, Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa are back with the third installment. This time around, two cops from Punjab head to the UK after they are tasked with a mission. Though they are fond of each other, they do not admit their feelings and instead want the other person to confess.
