The movie revolves around Sivaji, a brilliant software engineer who returns from the US to invest his money in Tamil Nadu for good causes. But after witnessing his rising popularity, the politicians cheat him and take away his properties.

Dhanush played the iconic character ‘Kokki’ Kumar in Pudhupettai, which is helmed by Selvaraghavan. The movie revolves around the life of Kumar, a young boy, who runs away and is later recruited by a gangster after his mother’s untimely demise. He eventually becomes the most-trusted right-hand man of his employer and gets into the bad books of many powerful people in the process.

This blockbuster movie directed by Dharani narrates the story of Kabbadi player Saravana Velu aka Velu, who is also known as Ghilli among his friends. Velu saves Dhanalakshmi, a helpless young woman from a local gangster named Muthu Paandi, who has been obsessing over her. Thalapathy Vijay played Velu aka Ghilli, while Trisha Krishnan and Prakash Raj appeared as Dhanalakshmi and Muthu Paandi, respectively.

This mass action film helmed by Saran revolves around Gemini, the titular character played by Chiyaan Vikram. Gemini, an emerging gangster from Chintadripet falls for Manisha Natwarlal, a North Indian woman. She reciprocates his feelings without knowing his identity. However, after Gemini gets arrested Manisha learns who he is, and the protagonist tries hard to win her back by changing his ways.

The romantic action movie helmed by N Linguswamy stars R Madhavan and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles. The movie narrates the story of Shiva, a young man from Srirangam, who arrives in Chennai to pursue higher studies. He meets Priya and instantly falls in love with her, without knowing that she is the younger sister of Bhaskar, a dreaded gangster.
