The Siddique directorial features Vijay in the role of Aravindan, a flirtatious young man who shares a deep bond with his best friends, Chandru and Krishna Moorthy, played by Suriya and Ramesh Khanna, respectively.

The masala action film helmed by Perarasu features Thalapathy Vijay as the titular character, Sivakasi, aka Muthappa, who is on a mission to reunite his estranged family after his lady love Hema declares that she will marry him only with the approval of his family. Even though the movie eventually earned lots of flak for its misogynistic ideas, Vijay and leading lady Asin’s performances make it a watchable flick.
