Hours before the Emmy Awards 2022 began, fans of Better Call Saul were hoping for a #SaulSweep, with the show, lead actors Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn expected to win in the categories they’d been nominated in. But as the show wore on, there was disappointment in store for the cast and crew of Better Call Saul, as well as their fans, as the series was snubbed yet again by the Emmy Academy. Bob lost out to Lee Jung-jae from Squid Games, while Rhea did to Julia Garner from Ozark. Incidentally, this was Julia’s second Emmy for the same role. Succession was deemed better than Better Call Saul.

Since its debut, Better Call Saul has garnered 50+ nominations at the Emmys and not won a single award yet. Distraught as they are, fans are, however, hopeful that the show will be in contention for awards next year for its sixth and final season and that Bob and Rhea will get the recognition they so deserve.

Here's a look at what netizens have been saying since this morning:

“The fact that Better Call Saul never won a single Primetime Emmy despite being one of the absolute best shows on TV is almost criminal. Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn deserved better #Emmys2022” – Dominicc Hardy

“Not belittling other winners but nothing for Better Call Saul? Nothing for the most thoughtfully directed, artfully edited, sharply & heartfully constructed & written, all outly acted show in the past 10 years ? This some greek tragedy shit.”
- Timo Tjahjanto

“Man, "Better Call Saul" really is going to go into next year's #Emmys without having ever won a single Emmy despite 50+ nominations. Remarkable.” – Daniel Fienberg

“I love Julia Garner and Ruth her character. That being said I reallllllly felt Rhea deserved this one. She floored me in the final season of Better call Saul. She floored me AFTER already impressing me for years.” – Peter Mullen
