Malayalam actor Dileep’s upcoming movie Bha Bha Ba, recently revealed that it is set for a December 18 release, along with a short glimpse. The Bha Bha Ba glimpse, which also features a voice-over by superstar Mohanlal, has evoked mixed responses from netizens. While Dileep fans are rooting for a pakka entertainer, certain others sense a ‘white wash’ attempt, and there was yet another section people who are irked by Shaan Rahman’s music. Dileep’s Bha Bha Ba glimpse

The latest teaser from Bha Bha Ba, titled Azhinjattam Thudangiyalo, was released online on October 27, 2025. The glimpse begins with Vineeth Sreenivasan’s character speaking about the hero (Dileep), “People are saying all sorts of things about him, how do you break a guy like this?" And the reply comes "not possible.”

Though a part of the film, it does mirror the real-life scenario of actor Dileep, who has been accused in the sensational Malayalam actress attack case of 2017 which continues to make headlines in Kerala. Dileep has claimed his innocence in the case, and has starred in several films since. The case is still ongoing in court.

This particular aspect of the teaser has caught the attention of netizens on Reddit with one user stating, “They should consider toning it down. The ‘thalarthan aavila’ narrative feels like open defiance toward the audience.”

Another person said, ‘White wash + cringe = attam bomb loading’.

But Dileep fans also showed their support for the actor who was once hailed as Janapriya Nayakan. Many commented ‘industry hit’, ‘Dileep’s comeback loading’ and ‘Pakka Entertainer movie loading’, while there was one person caliming that it would be bigger than Lokah, the current highest Malayalam grosser. Others were thrilled to hear Mohanlal’s voice at the end of the teaser Azhinjattam Thudangiyalo. The Malayalam superstar is said to be playing a cameo in the film.

There were several who found the teaser to be underwhelming. “Already lost the expectations after the teaser, and also this glimpse gives the same feeling which is ‘Nothing’,” reads one comment on Twitter.

While bulk of the negative comments were also aimed at Shaan Rahman for the background score in the teaser, which did not impress most of the viewers.

Dileep was one of the popular Malayalam heroes of the 2000s with a string of successes such as Meesha Madhavan, CID Moosa and Kalyanaraman, among several others. However, he faced a slump in his career in the last decade and the actor has been trying to make a comeback. His last movie Prince and Family garnered mixed reviews but had a decent run at the box office.
