Pranith Bramandapally wrote and directed the film produced by Arjun Dasyan
Sri Simha Koduri, who rose to prominence with Mathu Vadalara, has constantly tried to offer something new to audiences with his films, be it Thellavarithe Guruvaram, Dongalunnaru Jagratha or the recent crime comedy Bhaag Saale. Bhaag Saale, written and directed by Pranith Bramandapally, had him paired alongside Neha Solanki. The film released in theatres on July 7 this year.
After its brief theatrical run, the film is now out on OTT (four weeks after its theatrical release). Leading streamer Amazon Prime Video acquired the post-theatrical rights of the entertainer and premiered the film this Friday. Rajeev Kanakala, John Vijay, Varshini Sounderajan, Nandini Rai, Viva Harsha played other key roles in the comedy.
Bhaag Saale is bankrolled by Arjun Dasyan, Yash Rangineni, Singanamala Kalyan under Vedaansh Creative Works in association with Big Ben Cinema and Cine Valley Movies. While the film took considerable time with its making and faced multiple delays, it couldn’t put up a good show at the box office and was termed a disappointment by critics and audiences alike.
The story revolves around a lovestruck couple Arjun and Maya. To make Maya fall for him, Arjun falsely proclaims himself as a rich man with generational wealth. A goon Samuel is after Maya's family in quest of a rare diamond - Shaali Shuka Gaja (SSG). He kidnaps Maya's father out of the blue and demands the ring as ransom. How far will Arjun go to find the ring?
