Aasif Sheikh, best known for playing Tiwari on the TV show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai, has shared a health update after collapsing on the sets on Monday, March 24. On the same day, the show's writer Manoj Santoshi left for the heavenly abode in the morning after fighting a liver-related disease. Aasif was filming a fight sequence when he fainted and had to be hospitalized.
Although it was believed that Aasif Sheikh fainted on March 24, it actually happened on March 18. The actor confirmed the same in a media statement.
60-year-old Aasif Sheikh was shooting in Dehradun where he felt numbness in his foot. He called it sciatica pain and had to receive treatment in Mumbai. Although he arrived in the city on a wheelchair, Sheikh was advised to complete bed rest.

It was previously reported that the actor received prompt treatment on the sets before being flown down to Mumbai. Aasif was receiving treatment in a nearby hospital in Dehradun and was flown down to Mumbai on March 24. A source had told The Indian Express that the actor collapsed owing to exhaustion.
Aasif Sheikh will be resting for another week and then be back on sets. "Hope I will be soon in front of the camera," he said in a media statement.
Whether Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai shoot has come to a halt given both the tragedies or continues, is still uncertain at this point. However, since Aasif has assured that he is ready to face the camera, the makers might be continuing without him, but it wouldn’t be long before we see him back on screen.
