Bhagavanth Kesari star Kajal Aggarwal’s Satyabhama halfway complete, teaser launch date confirmed

Kajal Aggarwal, who scored a bumper hit with the success of her comeback film Bhagavanth Kesari, now awaits the release of another biggie Indian 2 in 2024. Before Indian 2, she is busy wrapping up the shoot of a female-centric cop saga Satyabhama. The film marks the directorial debut of Suman Chikkala. ‘Major’ fame Sashi Kiran Tikka writes the screenplay and is also the presenter.

Satyabhama, produced by Bobby Tikka and Srinivasa Rao Takkalapelly under Aurum Arts, much like Indian 2, will release in mid 2024. The makers of the film shared key updates about the film today. The cop saga is progressing at a brisk pace and the team has wrapped up 60% of the shoot already. Meanwhile, the team announced the teaser launch date of Satyabhama, i.e. November 11.

The makers call Satyabhama a slick yet emotional crime thriller and are confident about impressing audiences with the teaser, being launched ideally during the festive season. Pivotal action sequences in the thriller featuring Kajal Aggarwal were filmed in Hyderabad. The producer Bobby Tikka is aiming for a 2024 summer release and says Kajal will definitely surprise audiences.

Prakash Raj and Naveen Chandra play other important roles in Satyabhama. Co-produced by Balaji, the thriller has G Vishnu cranking the camera. Sri Charan Pakala scores the music. A special glimpse of the film was launched this year, offering a peek into its world and Kajal’s mean cop avatar. “We promise to give you a film that you’ll remember for a long time,” Kajal said during the launch.

Ramesh Yadma, Prashanth Reddy Motadoo have jointly written the film. Suman Chikkala, the director, has also written the dialogues and Kodati Pavan Kalyan is the editor. Rekha Boggarapu is the costume designer and Rohan Singh is the production designer. The film’s lineup has undergone a few changes since its launch (from the co-producer to the cinematographer and the director).
