Dussehra is one of the most favoured festive seasons for Telugu films after Sankranthi and Ugadi. Some of the biggest hits by top stars over the years released during. these festivals and it continues to be a popular sentiment for producers even now. If Waltair Veerayya and Das Ka Dhamki were the winners during Sankranthi and Ugadi in 2023, there are three major Telugu releases in Dussehra clashing at the box office.

Apart from the Telugu version of Vijay-Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action entertainer Leo, the other biggies releasing next week are Tiger Nageswara Rao and Bhagavanth Kesari. Both the trailers of Tiger Nageswara Rao and Leo are out already. While the former was much appreciated by Ravi Teja’s fans, Leo’s trailer faced backlash from movie buffs. Now, Bhagavanth Kesari’s trailer will be launched tomorrow.

A grand trailer launch event is being organised in Karimnagar later today. The trailer will be unveiled at 8.16 pm. Going by Nandamuri Balakrishna’s recent form and the promos and the songs of Bhagavanth Kesari, the film appears to be a safe bet for producers already. Reportedly, Anil Ravipudi has showcased a newer, stylish side to Nandamuri Balakrishna, extracting a measured performance from the star.

Unlike Balakrishna’s recent films, he is expected to be seen in one role, for which he’s embraced the salt and pepper look with panache. The on-screen camaraderie between the star and Sreeleela is believed to be one of the major highlights. It’s equally awaited because of Kajal Aggarwal’s return to Telugu post motherhood. Many are also curious on how well will Arjun Rampal’s presence be used in the film.

Anil Ravipudi has already delivered three successful action entertainers - Pataas, Supreme and Raja The Great. In all three cases, a strong emotional foundation was crucial to the response. With Ram Prasad’s slick cinematography, Thaman’s winning form (with Balakrishna) and enough technical finesse, the stars look bright for Bhagavanth Kesari’s trailer launch. Let us wait and watch!
