Kaantha has opened to mixed reviews in Telugu, but Dulquer Salmaan and the female lead, Bhagyashree Borse, are getting lauded for their performances in the film. Bhagyashree, in particular, is being showered with praise for her role of Kumari in Selvamani Selvaraj’s period drama.
When asked about bagging such a film where she had to showcase her acting prowess, Bhagyashree said, "Getting such big films with the likes of Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati is not easy. For a newcomer like me who does not have any industry background, it was a big deal, and the moment I bagged the film, I made up my mind that I had to surprise everyone with my acting talent. So far, commercial films of mine have been released, and no one expected much of me, but I feel I have shocked many with my acting.”

Bhagyashree Borse plays the role of an actress in Kaantha, and the way she performed with the likes of Dulquer Salmaan and Samuthirakani has given her a lot of praise.
Bhagyashree had lengthy dialogues in the film and spoke them with ease in Tamil. Bhagyashree lived in Chennai for six months ahead of the film's shoot and learned the language and trained herself to play the role of a yesteryear actress.

In just a week, yet another film of hers, Andhra King Taluka featuring Ram Pothineni, is all set to hit the screens on November 21, 2025. She plays a young girl and will be seen in yet another commercial avatar.
For now, her performance in Kaantha has won the hearts of many and has given Bhagyashree a new lease of life in her career. Stay tuned for more updates on Kaantha.
