Bhagyashree on how she prepared for her role in Prabhas, Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam

Maine Pyaar Kiya actress Bhagyashree is returning to Telugu cinema after a sabbatical, with Radhe Shyam, the epic romance starring Prabhas, Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. It was director Radha Krishna Kumar's decision to cast her in the film. She essays the role of Prabhas' mother, a Bharatanatyam dancer, who teaches dance to a group of students in Italy. Her role and past has a crucial impact on the decisions that Prabhas takes in the story, the filmmaker mentioned recently. 

The actress opened up on how she prepped for her role as a Bharatanatyam dancer on her social media handle. "RadheShyam! The journey during the course of shooting this film has been unbelievable. Having the opportunity to learn something that I had never tried ever before. I am not a trained dancer and to learn and perform bharatnatyam at this age has been euphoric for me. Maybe I have flawed, made mistakes but I have been a sincere student.... learning never stops," she said.

Through the film's shoot, the actress kept posting several images on how Prabhas went out of his way to take care of the film's cast, crew, be it food or pampering them with several gifts. Bhagyashree was last seen in a Telugu film titled Yuvaratna Rana, alongside Balakrishna, in 1998. Her recent release was Thalaivii, the biopic of former actor, politician Jayalalithaa, where she was cast in the role of yesteryear actress Sandhya (Jayalalithaa's mother).
