Sree Vishnu has completed nearly a decade in the film industry and his career is proof that persistence and conviction, when backed by good script selection, will always pay off. He's used several supporting roles in big films as a stepping stone to become a lead actor and he's trying to reinvent himself with every outing. While Brochevarevarura, Mental Madhilo, Needi Naadi Oke Katha have been significant successes as a lead actor in his career, his recent films - Gaali Sampath, Arjuna Phalguna, Raja Raja Chora - haven't fared well at the box office.

His next release, Bhala Thandanana, is extremely crucial for him to break the lull and return to form again. The trailer confirms that this is among his massier films to date, where audiences get to see him in a full-on action avatar like never before. He's caught in the middle of a hawala money scam in the story - while parts of the film showcase his innocence, the bulk of the sequences has him channelising his inner beast. Catherine Tresa is cast as an investigative journalist.

The makers of Bhala Thandanana have taken sufficient care to present Sree Vishnu differently from his underdog avatars, adding an element of style and class and it's evident that audiences will see a new dimension to his repertoire on May 6. The film is equally significant for the director Chaitanya Dantuluri. Despite making only two films over a decade, Baanam and Basanthi, the director has a good reputation for his storytelling abilities. Bhala Thandanana's result will be an acid test to his credibility as a mainstream filmmaker.

The film's trailer was launched in Vizag on Sunday. Rajani Korrapati is bankrolling the film under Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram while Sai Korrapati is the presenter. Mani Sharma has composed the music for Bhala Thandanana, whose technical crew comprises cinematographer Suresh Ragutu, editor Marthand K Venkatesh, art director Gandhi Nadikudikar and stunt director Peter Hein. The film will have a theatrical release on May 6.
