Bhamakalapam, a scrumptious home-cooked thriller film starring Priyamani and John Vijay, is prepared to wow audiences on aha Video. After a compelling first look poster, the makers have dropped the first glimpse of the Abhimanyu directorial. The film is presented by Bharat Kamma, while Bapineedu and Sudheer Edara are the producers.
The teaser starts with the introduction to the life of Ch. Anupama, a housewife who lives in an apartment and even has her own cooking YouTube channel, Anupama Ghumaghuma, where she has presented over 1000 recipes and lately earned over a lakh subscribers. Every week, Anupama prepares a new dish for her audience, but she claims that her current dish is all the more special because she has no idea how to prepare it.
Then she is seen closing her eyes and cutting something with a knife with ferocity. We have to wait and watch to see if it's the food she is talking about or something else is in store.
In this sleek glance, Priyamani skillfully slips into the skin of a homemaker in a tight circumstance, leaving us wanting more. To symbolise the multiple facets of a housewife, Bhamakalapam's first look recently had her imitating Goddess Durga.
The music is by Justin Prabhakaran, while the technical crew includes cameraman Deepak Kumar and editor Viplav, to name a few. Sudheer Edara and Bogavalli Bapineedu of SVCC Digital have backed Bhamakalapam.
Priyamani is not new to the OTT space as she was first seen in Amazon Prime Video's The Family Man opposite Manoj Bajpayee. The actor even featured in His Story, an ALTBalaji and ZEE5 original series. Her last outing on OTT was Naarappa opposite Venkatesh which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, the streaming date for Bhamakalapam on aha is yet to be announced.
