According to director Sakthivel, though the film is billed as a thriller, it will appeal to all sections of the viewers
Bharath and Vani Bhojan
Bharath, who was last seen in the Salman Khan-starrer Radhe, which was premiered on Zee5, has joined the shooting of his next film, under the direction of MS Sakthivel. The untitled project, which has Vani Bhojan playing the female lead, has gone on floors in Tenkasi with an official ceremony. Tipped as a dark mystery thriller, the movie is produced by Axess Film Factory. The actor took to Twitter to announce the same and added that he is quite thrilled with the project taking off with a talented bunch of crew members. He also posted a picture from the set in which he is seen along with Vani and other crew members.

In an earlier interview to Cinema Express, Sakthivel said that the film is a slasher-thriller and most of the filming will take place in the night. Filmmaker-turned-actor KS Ravikumar will play a prominent role in the film which has cinematography by S Suresh Bala and editing by R Kalai Vaanan. A lion's share of the film's shooting will happen in Chennai, Ambasamudram and Tenkasi. Bharath will play an engineer in the movie and Vani will be seen essaying the role of his wife. According to Sakthivel, both of them will have equal share of screen presence in the movie. He also added that though the film is billed as a thriller, it will appeal to all sections of the viewers.
Kaalidas was Bharath's last release in theatres. The actor, who has quite a number of projects in his kitty, including the multilingual flick Kurup, tried his hands at singing during the lockdown last year. Meanwhile, Vani, whose last outing was Malaysia to Amnesia which was released on Zee5, currently has half-a-dozen projects under her belt, including Karthik Subbaraj's Vikram-starrer Mahaan, the first look of which was announced on Friday.
