Bhediya trailer: Varun Dhawan unleashes his inner beast as Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee scramble for a cure

The wait to see Varun Dhawan unleash his inner beast on the silver screen is almost up, as Bhediya inches closer to its release. As promises, the makers unveiled the film’s trailer on Wednesday, which gives a glimpse into the humour filled horror ride i sore for viewers.

Set against the backdrop of a forest in Arunachal, the trailer introduces us to Varun’s Bhaskar, an unfortunate young man who is bitten by a mystical wolf. As he starts his transformation into the wolfish creature, he finds himself posing a threat to humankind. To help their friend, and themselves in the process, Bhasker’s friends join him in finding out answers to his unusual malady.

The trailer was launched at an event in Mumbai, which saw the cast and crew in attendance. At the event, director Amar Kaushik spoke about how the film was crafted in a way that audiences could enjoy it in all its glory on the big screen. “It will fill you with a sense of awe and wonder, and tickle your funny bone with laughs galore. We are glad that it arrives in all its big screen glory soon”, he said.

The film forms a part of Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe, which also includes the films Stree and Roohi. Vijan called Bhediya hsi attempt to bring audiences a world class spectacle, which is also a complete family entertainer with spectacular VFX, in record time. “This is a grand cinematic experience for all generations. It has phenomenal talent like Amar Kaushik at the helm; he has masterfully combined comedy and thrills to give you India’s first creature comedy”, he said.

In addition to Varun, the film also features Kriti Sanon, Deepak Dobriyal, Abhishek Banerjee and Paalin Kabak in pivotal roles.

Bhediya will howl its way into theatres on November 25, 2022.
