The highly anticipated Bhediya finally made its way onto the silver screen on Friday. The horror comedy film is the third instalment in Dinesh Vijan’s popular horror comedy universe, and follows the tale of a young man who finds himself transforming into a werewolf after being bitten by the mythical creature. Varun’s fans have been waiting to see the star in a never before seen avatar in the film for quite a while now, and it seems that fans flocked to theatres to catch the film on the first day of its release. And of course, they could not help but talk about the same on Twitter.

Many users were impressed to say the least to see Varun’s awesome on screen transformation. One user called the film ‘A hilarious rollercoaster’. “I went with zero expectations and it is above my expectations.. First half is little bit slow but VFX and Abhishek Banerjee is soul of this film..”, wrote another user. Yet another appreciated the film for including the subject of deforestation into its story.

The performances of Varun and Kriti Sanon were widely appreciated by fans. Showering praise on Kriti, one user talked about how only an actress of her calibre could have done justice to the role. Another user praised Varun’s acting and the transformation scenes as well. The film’s VFX and cinematography was also appreciated.

Everyone seemed to agree that the film was definitely worth the hype, and watching the film in theatres was absolutely worth it.

Many users were also impressed by the plot twist and climax of the film as well.

Bhediya was directed by Amar Kaushik, and follows : Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree (2018) and Janhvi Kapoor’s Roohi (2021). In addition to Varun, Kriti and Abhishek Bannerjee, the film also features Deepak Dobriyal and Paalin Kabak in pivotal roles.

Bhediya is now playing in theatres.
