The trailer of Rajkummar Rao-Bhumi Pednekar’s Bheed is here and it speaks about the difficulties faced during the COVID-19 times. The 2.39 minute clip also compares the lockdown to 1947 partition. Here, Rajkummar Rao comes as the ‘hero’ who wants to save many.
Bheed trailer begins with the announcement of 2020 lockdown. The panic sets in as everyone embarks on a journey back home.
The borders were closed during COVID-19 lockdown, which resulted in a number of events, some as drastic as almost killing another human being.
Rajkummar is seen in the trailer early on. He questions what will happen if justice lies in the hands of people who know what pain is.
Dia Mirza is seen in the film in the role of a mother who is on the other side of the country. Kritika Kamra plays the role of a journalist who raises the question – is the lockdown anything like the India-Pakistan partition?
Pankaj Kapur is seen as one of the characters – Trivedi – who has a strong stand and sticks to it. He plays a major role when it comes to delivering food to the ones stuck on roads for days at an end.
Ashutosh Rana is seen in a pivotal role too. He talks about cremating the ones injured during crossing of the borders. His confrontation with Rajkummar in the last scene is one of the bigger highlights of the trailer. That is when the latter says he wants to be the ‘hero.’
Bhumi Pednekar is finally seen as the doctor and her role is yet to be explored. The film also stars Aditya Srivastava and Virendra Saxena in pivotal roles.
